SMALL SCHOOL IN OAKLAND SEEKS CORE SUBJECT FACULTY

We are recruiting highly qualified, caring, and dedicated teachers to develop our High School program.

Coliseum College Prep Academy is a small secondary school that opened in the fall of 2006 with grades 6 and 7. Our program will expand to include grades 6-12 in order to allow us to prepare all of our graduates for entry to four year colleges. The stability of our program will allow us to build powerful relationships with students and families to support a positive school culture and high student achievement. CCPA is part of the next generation of the nationally recognized small schools movement of the Oakland Unified School District.

At Coliseum Prep, all students will develop as learners, thinkers, communicators, and citizens. Our school program will meet each learner’s unique needs, value their passions and interests, connect their learning to the real world, and require students to demonstrate what they know and are able to do. Through partnerships with multiple community groups, we will provide supports to help all students achieve high standards. Technology will be integrated throughout our program to ensure students are ready to compete in our digital world.

In addition, Coliseum Prep is a candidate school for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years and Diploma programs. This school is pursuing authorization as an IB World School. These are schools that share a common philosophy – a commitment to high quality, challenging, international education that Coliseum Prep believes is important for our students.
